SNOW ON CRAB
How does snow do this—pile five inches deep on a quarter inch branch?
Snowflakes settle so gently down—can you imagine sprinkling anything so softly?
Then they hook their fine, crystalline arms, defying gravity and a nudge of breeze.
It all reminds me why we northerners put up with winter.

I love this photo Jeffrey... your snow seems extra light and fluffy indeed to have piled it on so thick....
Insulation and warmth for a sometimes cold world, rather than Insults and a fiery temper to shake off any potential stiffness.
Thanks, Bernie. Yes, the snow was extraordinary. I think it was something about the way the flakes interlocked w/ each other that made the feathery piles last a couple of days, even with a little breeze.
